Returned goods policy is subject to the Terms of Trading available here
My address is in Guernsey. This is not in the UK and VAT may apply to goods I ship to you.
It’s important that if you send something for repair that I can return it to you without VAT being charged on the return trip. The documentation asked for later is important for this.
Sending goods to me is not a problem as there is no VAT or import duty in Guernsey. You will however be asked to fill out a customs form anyway.
UK Customers.
I recommend using Royal Mail Tracked 48 service to send to me, it is the same price to send to Guernsey as it is to send to mainland UK. For higher-value items, check the insured value when shipping and select and appropriate service for your needs.
Use the online service, and if you arrange for postie to collect the item (£0.30p) then they will bring the relevant postage and customs labels too. Or if you prefer, print and attach the label Royal Mail give you when you buy online and drop off at one of their described locations (get proof of posting).
https://send.royalmail.com will take you to the page to purchase postage.
For most of my items (AIOC/URC/UCI/URI etc.) description (HS Code) state it as:
‘Audio Card’ . Royal Mail will give you tariff code 8473308000, that’s ok.
or or RLNZ2 use ‘Transceiver’ and HS Code 8525600000
Set the country of origin as Guernsey and the value to match the original item cost so you are insured.
Buying postage online is normally cheaper than going to a post office.
