Description
For existing customers of the RLNZ2, this is a upgrade kit to the V2 board.
The board provides additional USB port to attach external devices such as Wired Ethernet Dongle or a VHF/UHF Radio unit. The board also has improved audio circuit with automatic gain controls.
The kit includes:
- New main board set to up grade a V1 RLNZ2
- Replacement rear panel to fit the new board connections
- Volume knob for the V2 board volume control
Fitting does not require any soldering, simply slide the existing main board out of the chassis and replace with the new. Press the volume knob on carefully, support the potentiometer from behind when pushing on the knob.
Your software will need to be updated to support the V2 board:
- Ether download and install rln-2706-sh.img.gz from https://g1lro.uk/images/,
- or
- Patch your existing RLNZ2 with this one line update https://github.com/G1LRO/ASL3-UTILS#cleardevsh
